Work History

After a short and illuminating stint at a large accounting firm in Austin I left the corporate world permanently to begin my career as a serial entrepreneur…

I’ve founded, created, and managed several successful businesses each unique & still prospering

1993 full-service accounting firm in a 1963 Airstream, grew over two decades to employ 5 professionals and serve over 1100 clients

1995 real estate development firm – purchased, remodeled and flipped 16 properties over 20 years.

2022 newly designed 22 room hotel with restaurant and biscuit bar soon to be under construction in the Rainey district in Austin.

An incredible, creative and supportive wife, Lissa Patrizi, a lovely, intelligent and beautiful daughter, Kenna, in graduate school for transpersonal psychology and a very old, loyal and stoic yorkie, Mr. Pepper. Also blessed with a loving extended family of my mom, her husband, my in-laws, and several BFF’s, whose parents and children I get to share.

Things I do not love

Social media, spicey foods, insensitive corporate culture, scrooges, rules, discrimination, dressing up, voice mail, soggy cereal, narcissism and ‘nay sayers’, supremacy in any form, pastel colors.

Things I love

Modern design, especially mid-century, architecture, Christmas lights, chocolate, any sport with a ball, equanimity, sneakers and yoga pants, long walks, cycling, spreadsheets, compassion & optimism in the face of adversity, vibrant colors.
